Wonderful the way they treated us. Special thanks to Claudio and the rest of the staff working ar the restaurante. Lovely hotel with lovely people
Dirty, personel in reception rude, structure falling apart. We had 2 safety issues in the room ( water dripping from ceiling and a little explosion caused by water dripping on a socket) and nobody cared until i put up a fuss. There is no private parking. The space on the beach is very tight ( there is no space to walk between 1 space and the other). The communal areas are not well kept. There is only 1 person working crazy hours between the 2 bars, so only one of the 2 was open at the time and there was always a very long queue. The stay was ok because the food was quite good and the entrateiners are a good team. Book somewhere else.
Having heard about Pescara beautiful sea front, we decided to give it a try and choose your place. We arrived late at night without booking. Reception was really helpful but the room, despite its size, wasn't as good as the reception. We couldn't get to turn the air con on, we boiled the whole night. Because we thought that the hotel was going to provide bottled water, we didn't buy it...rookie mistake. Our room turned into a desert. Toothpaste, toothbrush? Thanks gosh I brought it from home, they were nowhere to be found. Those little details are what make a fantastic place - 5 stars in service, areas, beach, swimming pool, cleanliness- only a good one in my book. Fix those details and give yourselves the place and missing stars, you deserve.

Know before you go
- Consider booking during low season for discounted prices
- Use bus transportation conveniently located near the hotel for easy access to nearby attractions
- Bring your own bottled water to avoid dehydration due to lack of provided water bottles in rooms
- Be cautious of potential safety hazards in the room such as leaking showers or electrical issues caused by dripping water
Reviews
The Grand Eurhotel Residence in Montesilvano has received mixed reviews from guests. Some highlighted the spacious rooms, good food, and friendly entertainers as positive aspects of their stay. However, issues such as rude personnel at reception, safety concerns in the rooms, lack of private parking, tight beach space, and poorly maintained communal areas were mentioned by other guests. Despite some positives like cleanliness and included amenities like breakfast and beach access with a cot and deck chair provided by the hotel, there were complaints about WiFi connectivity issues, noise disturbances from glass recycling late at night, malfunctioning lights systems throughout the hotel, poor quality towels in the rooms, unexpected room entries by cleaning staff, and missing slippers in what was perceived as not a true 4-star experience.

The hotel is under the same management of the Gran Hotel Montesilvano. It's well kept and offered the lowest discount prices during low season: among with the many other similar facilities in the area it is intended as a seaside resort. The room was a spacious studio, with two single beds, a couch, two desks (although one was partially occupied by a medium large TV screen) a round table with chairs and a kitchenette. All the room was nice, clean and comfortable, as was the bathroom. The fixtures and the furniture were not luxurious but were still pleasant and functional. The shower leaked a bit but it wasn't a problem.Breakfast was included in the price and in line with the general experience: no gourmet ingredients but a very abundant buffet with a great variety of food, from croissants to scrambled eggs. For 45 € total (22,50 each, since we were two) it's really hard to ask more!
“Bene, ma non benissimo... (Good but not excellent)”Pros:The hotel is situated in the city of Montesilvano, in an are renamed by the local as "I Grandi Alberghi" because of the concentration of at least 85% of the biggest city Hotels in this area. Bus 2/ that covers the route Pescara Bus Terminal (in front of the train station) Montesilvano - Grandi Alberghi, is the main bus to take if you want to stop just at 4' walk from the hotel. But you can also take (early in the morning till 9 am and in the evening) bus 38 (from the Airport) or (between the arc of time where bus 38 doesn't run) buses 8 (also from the Airport), 3 or 3/ (from the terminal bus in front of Pescara train station) and stop at Montesilvano Train Station (Obviously you can also arrive here by train from any of the neighboring sea cities like Pescara, Silvi, Pineto, Alba Adriatica etc.). The hotel is just 15' walk from the train station, 10' walk from Mcdonald's and 5' walk from the shopping centre where you can find different facilities like cinema, restaurants and supermarkets. Arriving at the hotel the first impression when checking in, is of astonishment, the hotel lobby with balcony overlooking the sea and swimming pool is simply amazing. And the rooms (I was in the 507 but I also saw the 510) are big and really spacious, with a nice living room, a big bedroom toilet and balcony. Breakfast, swimming pool and permanence on the beach(where the hotel provides you with a sea cot and deck chair) are included in the stay, which is excellent for saving some extra money.Cons:After the checking-in, the first thing I received along with the keys were the wifi credential, but this was useless since the wifi (at least in my room) only connected at the entrance close to the toilet; and this is not that much pleasant when you are running out of GB or don't have a roaming plan. The after a long and stressful journey (at least in my case) you go to bed or at least you try... In fact, at after 10 pm, the hotel starts dumping glass bottles into the apposite recycling bin which is excellent for the environmental pollution but I can say the same for that of your ears. The lights system all over the hotel (doesn't on as expected when you pass under the movement sensor or when you even try to on them) like the rooms bells (don't work), the very poor quality towers (they leave you covered with their lint when you dry yourself or at least when you try to...) and the reason why the shower had the shower head like the one you use at the car wash (great if you want to feel what your car feels when you wash it.) are and we remain a mystery to me. To end I don't know why but after knocking only once while I was on my way to open the door... The cleaners bust in. The moment was hilarious but only because I was already ready to leave for a walk in the city and not doing anything else.
