Senior Director Integrated Marketing - Customer Marketing (Customer Strategy)The Senior Director Integrated Marketing will support and assist and partner with the VP Customer Marketing by driving JCP growth and awareness through integrated marketing strategies and solutions. This is a critical leadership role, responsible for the Integrated Marketing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for leading and developing and executing marketing strategies and campaigns, building brand strategies for owned and partner brands, managing the integrated marketing team to deliver communication plans. You will be highly skilled in balancing short term revenue goals with long term brand value and other corporate goals. With experience interpreting and leveraging all market data, consumer research and category trends (retail/fashion/product/service/consumer) you will define the branded integrated content direction for optimized marketing ROI.
Primary Responsibilities
- Leads the Integrated Marketing team and is squarely focused on building marketing solutions across the portfolio of brands and services
- Leverage your strong Marketing Strategy and leadership skills to coach and grow the team in capability and marketing proficiency
- Contribute as a leader to the development of JCPenney's overall marketing strategy
- Defines overall marketing strategy for the portfolio and optimized to both sales and customer goals.
- Develop and execute integrated marketing plans that leverage a mix of tactics and messaging executed via digital, social media, email, events, PR, and content marketing to support growth of; business, corporate brand, and owned/partner brands.
- Build and implement positioning strategy for key owned brands, categories and departments that aligns with business objectives and are executed through integrated marketing campaigns.
- Contribute to seasonal messaging strategies by integrating the key brands and products into the defined customer story and content plans
- Manage partnerships with National brands to optimize marketing involvement in line with overall business and marketing strategy.
- Partner teams across marketing and creative on the development and execution of all marketing collateral, including advertising, promotions, and digital assets etc.
- Partner with media, content and channel teams to define the integrated marketing needs for categories, brands and products to deliver marketing performance goals, asset needs and executional requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop brand guidelines, messaging, and creative assets that align with the company's merchandise strategy for owned brands.
- Analyze and apply market research to identify new opportunities for the brands, categories and products and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
- Lead the communication of effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategy as necessary
- Be a great leader helping to coach, grow and support your team and others.
Core Competencies & Accomplishments
- 12+ years of experience in brand or integrated marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience working in different industries / categories like consumer brands, consumer packaged goods, retail or fashion.
- Experience developing and implementing successful integrated marketing campaigns that leverage a mix of tactics including digital, social media, email, events, PR, and content marketing.
- Strong track record in retail marketing and advertising for consumer-packaged goods, retail or consumer brands where you developed clear end effective marketing programs
- Strong understanding of brand strategy, channel strategy, media planning and overall marketing principals
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Has lead a team of no less than 10 marketers and collaborated with senior leaders in a large organization
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of marketing trends and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Undergraduate degree in Marketing or Communications.
